America was a Christian nation with values like the Golden Rule, and some attempt to treat even those who "hate you" with comity. (loving them being a command for which Christ died to save us, as our ability to follow it is pitiful)

It was a nation where huge super-majoirities understood and supported principles like "innocent until proven guilty", "the burden of PROOF is on the accuser", the redemptive effects of time with life well lived, and even the concept of "redemption and forgivnness" -- even for criminals.

Today, not being 100% in lock step with the dogma of "The Party" (TP-D) is the "unforgiveable sin" for the left. Abortion on demand in all 50 states is their greatest sacrament, and thou shalt not make believe that people in states should be able to decide which states and how late a baby may be murdered! As we see with Kavenaugh, their "morality" is a throw back to the 30 years war in Europe or the Salem Witch Trials -- being ACCUSED by there cabal means certain guilt and you must pay for not kneeling before their power!

So Kavenaugh has been confirmed, as Thomas was before him, and Bork was not -- no left wing nominee, not matter how in your fact political and far left has suffered the treatment of the now triumvirate of Kavenaugh, Thomas and Bork. As Kavenaugh correctly stated, most likely, "what goes around will at least EVENTUALLY come around". It hasn't yet, it would be wonderful if it didn't , but the "standard", slimey though it may be, has been absolutely set!

Pure unsubstantiated calumny against a nominee not far to the left is that standard at this point. Will the right now march to that standard? Human nature says they eventually will -- holding on to morality when your opposition makes it clear they have none is a very high bar.

Yes, we are all Tribal now, but as I pointed out after the Trump rally in Rochester, the Tribes are not yet equivalent, and the behavior of the Democrats in the Senate and the anti-Trump protestors this past Thursday night proves it.

Myra Kraft died in 2011 and Robert Kraft took the death very hard. One of the people that helped him through that time was Donald Trump. Here is what Kraft had to say in one interview ...

In an age without religion, fake virtue signalling is the primary measure of "morality". Over and over many on the left and on the right signal their virtue by ranting against the "hypocrisy" of Trump stating "maybe he did, maybe he didn't" ... but Saudi Arabia remains an ally.

The murder of Mr. Khashoggi was a brutal and grotesque act. The United States has registered its feelings loudly and clearly by putting sanctions on the 17 men who were directly involved in the killing. Punishing the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia will not bring justice for Mr. Khashoggi, nor will it make Saudi Arabia a more dependable ally. It will simply diminish the influence of the United States and embolden its enemies. 

The biblical advice to be as “wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” offers sound counsel to anyone who seeks to see their principles influence the world. The advice of Mr. Trump’s critics is long on abstract morality but lacking in strategic wisdom.

It is very hard to imagine "what everyone knows" these days -- so much reasoning is purely emotional and tribal. It is hard for me to imagine that ANYONE seriously wants to give up Saudi Arabia as an ally in the Mideast, especially over the murder of a single journalist. If we wanted to have a serious disagreement, it might be over Yemen for example, but I for one am not interested in going out and trying to figure out the "right" answer to that situation. 

Saudi Arabia and Iraq are locked in a political and Sunni vs Shia religious war in the Mideast that is somewhat comparable to the Cold War with the USSR and the US. They largely fight by proxy, and fighting by proxy tends to be very messy (see Tom Clancey and other novels of the US - Soviet Cold War).

The question in my mind is how many people these days actually believe what they tweet, post, etc about how they are SHOCKED at such things as Trump's comments on the Kashoggi murder!

For the average joe, we have our vices, our bad language, we didn't do our homework or well in school, we might be lazy, etc; For the elites, we know we are snobs, we revel in our pride, yet secretly know how naked we are no matter our degrees, wealth, supposed sophistication. They may or may not be practicing Christians, and they may or may not have any understanding of what it means to be  "moral" in the sense of what the liveral elite tell them is "moral", but they feel that by claiming to hate Trump, they have some sort of "superiority".

The coastal elites and elite mainstream however have nothing but contempt for them anyway -- but naturally, they know if they can defeat "Trump", they are defeating the only remaining strain of what was "typical America" -- people that understood that the Constitution meant LIMITED government, not an all encomassing adminstrative or deep state.

To many who retain some allegiance to the America that was, it also meant family, community, and the worship of God who was MUCH higher than government -- and of course much much higher than Trump and all temporary holders of the imperfect position of President -- as BO, W, and Slick Willie were before him.

My wife and I tried to get in to see Trump in Rochester Thursday night -- we didn't, but it was an amazing experience anyway. The BIG observation is that Black women, Muslim women and frail white women and men in pussy hats don't actually believe the nasty things they say about Trump supporters. Exhibit A ...

Would you go to N Minneapolis and walk around happy and confident with a sign reading "ALL Lives Matter! I Support the Police! ??? I wouldn't, because I would consider it to be provocation, and I would be unsurprised if the local residents responded violently. I actually would not blame them all that much -- I'm invading their turf with a provocotive message after all. 

The attitude of the leftist protestors last night was much like that of preschooler teasing a dog through a fence or poking some animal in a cage -- primitive, giddy, unserious, "it's a game and we know that we are safe". On one hand, I'm extremely proud of the Trump crowd -- as we all know, the odds that many of them are Christian are pretty high, and they fully displayed it as lefties waded out into the crowd yelling obscenities, showing signs with obscenities, and naturally belittleing the President any way they could. The media loves to report to us every time Trump "mocks somebody" -- right after which they do an article on how he is crazy, stupid, looks funny and is pretty much "Hitler". 

My mind goes back to the VERY moderate and reasoned Tea Party "demonstrators" (like the description hardly fits)  in 2010 -- specific messages like "Cut the Debt", "Smaller Government", "Follow the Constitution", etc, No profanity, virtually nothing about Obama beyond maybe "We DID build this!", or "Bitterly and HAPPILY Clinging to Bible and guns!". Naturally, the Tea Party was maligned as RACIST ... and sexist, homophobic, backward, stupid white men, DANGEROUS!, etc. 

We have become tribal, but it is obvious that our tribes are very much not "the same"!

How crazy and violent will the left need to get before they awake the sleeping giant of the right? Standing in the MASSIVE crowd trying to get in to see Trump last night, I'm wondering if they have not already accomplished their task? 

Certainly we all now know that the left has no interest in such arcane morality as "The Golden Rule" --  nobody would want what has been done to Kavenaugh and his family done to them or those they love. We can of course never know "for sure" what happened between two people 35 years ago, but we CERTAINLY know WHY what has happened to Kavenaugh NOW has happened! Ford decided that she wanted to smear Kavenaugh and prevent him from gaining the SCOTUS! Wether it is made up out of completely whole cloth, or she saw him "behaving badly" (in her judgement) at some party once, or exactly what, we can't know -- but since nobody corroborates her story, reasonable people must conclude that what she says happened did not -- at least if "reasonable people" assumes the presumption of innocence. If it doesn't, then "reason" really doesn't mean much. 

Certainly anyone with some semblance of "reason" remaining understands that when you go up against "The Party" (TP-D), there is no presumption of innocence and the burden of proof is on whomever is not of the party. It is also important to know that even if whatever infraction you are accused of -- say a remark, or a look deemed to be sexist, racist, homophobic, etc, there is absolutely NO REDEMPTION. If you are a member of TP in good standing, any "infractions" are unlikely to even be of interest (Ted Kennedy, Slick Willie, Hildebeast, BO, etc) however if there is ANY interest, time redeems TP members in a matter of weeks.

In addition to being pointedly not invited to McCain’s funeral and memorial service later this week — while former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush will both eulogize the Arizona Republican — Trump was quietly asked to stay away from former first lady Barbara Bush’s funeral earlier this year.

If our "politicians" where truly "partisan", rules like Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment  ("Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican") would be in effect. While supposedly "in power", W was never accepted as a legitimate president by TP. He was "appointed by the SCOTUS", he was too stupid to read, he was castigated because it was claimed he wasn't a very good fighter pilot in the TX National Guard (nevermind that Slick Willie and BO never put on any sort of uniform for even a day).

Now however? The Bushes are fully alingned with TP to discredit and remove Trump! "Partisanship" stops at TRUMP ... because Trump threatens the Deep / Adminstrative / Davos TP State! It's been 30 years since Reagan left the White House, and since that time we have had nothing but TP controlled "presidents" up to Trump!

HW was a former director of the CIA -- you don't get much more Deep State than that. Slick Willie was a nothing from Arkansas, but he had spent time at Oxford including taking part in anti-Vietnam war protests off shore, and a week long foray into the USSR. Slick was somewhat a "citizen of the world" as well (hick of the world?).

W was and is clearly part of the TP controlled state apparatus. Sure, he "played a role" as being something different during the early '00's, but unsurprisingly, he and BO were on the same page relative to the massive government bailouts of Wall Street and the banks in '08. I'm sure they will enjoy getting together and comparing notes on the joys of being an ex-president member of TP in good standing!

Isn't it convienient that John McCain was the cutout for the coronation of BO? Then Mittens Romney with his "binders of women" and his arcane thinking that Russia, RUSSIA! Was an enemy! This was 2012 folks ... BO proudly put poor Mitt in his place with "The 1980's called, they wanted their foreign policy back!". Hey, "the Cold War is OVER" ... those Russians are GOOD GUYS, they even take our astronauts to space!

The TP controlled media has told you the Russians are our friends, up to enforcing BO's "Red Line" (pink line?) in Syria in 2013 AND our sworn enemies over a period of less than 6 years. Are you a marionette or a thinking person?

As we watch the TP controlled State cannonize one of the true RINO weasels of all time this week, watch and LEARN. **ONLY** when we ALL bow and scrape to TP can we be "one nation of BOistan, under Satan". There is zero room for diversity of thought in BOistan. Learn to be comfortable in the "way of the weasel" if you want to be a "Republican" ... run on one thing, then do the opposite! THEN, be cannonized by TP as a "great man".

If you want to stand up and be what used to be called "American", Trump is the only current leader around with those credentials. Imperfect as hell, YEsssss! One can dream of a time with better leaders that stand for something other than fealty to TP, but that time is not yet! Mueller's Three Objectives

I would have ordered it "Help the Dems win, furnish grounds if so, and 3 if one and two fail" ... it's nice to have the whole appartatus of government, the MSM and your own party working in concert to achieve goals using taxpayer money!

Partisan Comey On Federalist Papers

So in Federalist 51, Madison DOES indicate that "Ambition must be made to counteract ambition.", however the main mechanism for that is SEPARATION OF POWERS!

So who does the FBI report to? The executive, meaning Trump? The legislative,  meaning the Republican controlled House and Senate? The SCOTUS? Clearly, Comey thinks "NOTA" ... the FBI as all of the Administrative / Deep State is a 4th extra-Consitutional branch of government controlled by "The Party" (TP-D) and reporting to nobody but TP!

In Federalist 47, Madison has THIS to say; "The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny."

It is doubtful that Comey is going to be quoting that -- since the core of the Deep / Administrative State is having the power of the executive (bureaucracy), the legislative ( regulations, taxes, fees) and the judicial (Adminstrative Law) all combined in one tyrannical branch run entirely by "The Party" (TP-D)!

At least the swamp creatures are OBVIOUS about the fact that it is a TP controlled swamp!

I've often said that the Republican Party is validly called "the stupid party". The biggest reason for this is that many that call themselves "Republicans" have some version of a largely dead traditionalist world running around in their heads that is complete fantasy ... "return to the gold standard", "pay off the national debt", "no military intervention anywhere ... and maybe no armed forces", "demand leadership with absolutely unimpeachable character!", "get us out of the UN!".  "voting only on a mountain top with finger print ID!" ... and on and on.

Often they hearken back to some halcyon politician of the past ... "Reagan!", "Goldwater!", "Ike!", "Coolidge!" ...  even Lincoln ... how dead the heroic politician is makes no difference, and in many cases, the caricature of the imagined "great one" is way beyond what the actual person was. Never mind! These purist Republicans have "STANDARDS!", and to some degree, why have standards if they can't be unrealistic??

Which brings us to George Will, Max Boot and even John McCain to a certain extent -- they REALLY hate Trump, and they increasingly REALLY hate anyone that can look at him pragmatically and say "damned site better than the alternatives".

I read articles like the linked and am simply amazed that anyone really thinks people care about the virtue signalling of the column authors relative to Trump. So what? HW Bush had a stellar character and demeanor -- he was destroyed by the media. W was much similar -- kind, decent, Christian, honorable, etc -- he was road kill for the Democrat media popular culture machine. AND they were PROUD of doing it!

BO ignored the Constitution constantly, wanted to "bring a gun to a knife fight", and just generally stunk up the economy, foreign policy, the SCOTUS, race relations, and everything else he walked by ... always with his nose in the air, "above the fray".  If some of these virtuous purist Republicans could have shown a  TENTH the interest in combating BO as they do in combating Trump, we would have gotten Mittens in 2012, a few tatters of America would have been saved, and there never would have been a Trump presidency. Their "virtue" is very selective -- and not productive in the least!

Politics, ESPECIALLY conservative politics is never supposed to make people, or even politics itself an idol. The principles are smaller government, reining in the administrative state, strong defended borders, keeping religion in the public square and culture, low crime, encouragement of a work ethic ... those sorts of things. All people and certainly all politicians are imperfect in the extreme -- "the lesser of two evils" is vcry commonly the choice.

Sure, you can give yourself some faux "virtue" by being anti-Trump, but even REAL human virtue is seen as "filthy rags" to real conservatives that see man as the measure of VERY little, and certainly not "virtue".

Voting in Democrats because you want to virtue signal how much you dislike Tump is pretty much sanding your whole body and jumping into a vat of acid to show how "serious you are" -- seriously lost in space, certainly ... but why are we supposed to care?

Trump has governed far better than I think even the most optimistic of rational conservatives would have expected ... and now, another SCOTUS pick looms. It doesn't take much of a genius to see that Ruth Vader Ginsburg may exit at any time. Potentially, the stain of Roe V Wade can finally be overturned and the days of legislating from the bench might be significantly slowed for a generation!

Trump is a president and a person ... not a moral leader. 2016 was the election that Christians finally accepted the fact that we no longer lived in a "Christian nation"  ... we could no longer hope for a president that shared our faith and values, but we could attempt to get one that would at least recognize us as a political bloc with a right to exist!

Conservatives, and especially Christians are in an existential fight in America, and we have been losing badly for a VERY long time. Trump is nothing more than a "reprieve", but we need to get together and take full advantage of that reprieve, not play into the hands of those that would make BOistan a nation where conservatives and Christians are hounded in the streets!

The Real Special PC Olympics

Did Obama mean anything by his "Special Olymipics"  comment? No, it was self deprecating even -- however it was an insult to the Special Olympics where real people fighting disabilities fight hard to achieve -- the sort of thing that we held up as very honorable in America.

The keys to BOistan are POWER, and who weilds it. Obama screwed up, he apoligized -- case closed, more than fine with me, AND more importantly, with the our elite overlords.

**ALL** of us will say inappropriate things at times -- science knows that many things "preference for like", "fear of other", "disgust", etc are wired into our brains ... so maintainance of total control is beyond human ability, SO ...

The power elite ... TP ("The Party"(D)) is obviously balls to the wall, pull out all the stops, STOP TRUMP!!!! The Republican party is 80% "TP lite" ... they know where their bread is buttered, they like their comfy homes, platinum benefits, travel allowances, big inflation adjusted retirement, etc.

As I've often said, if our general TP elite didn't have double standards, they would have no standards at all ... NATURALLY, BO's apology was MORE than accepted! Why to not accept an honest heartfelt apology from such a great man could ONLY be racist!!

For those few rebels that fail to bow the knee to TP however? When they show their humanity and screw up, it would be WRONG to let them off with something as easy as an apology!! They ... and even more importantly, those watching that may think like them,  have to "get their minds right"! Bow to TP, listen to NPR every day and learn what constitues "correct thought", and be absolutely right inline with it on every issue! You have complete freedom to agree with what TP tells you to think!

The article talks of a few cases, but the power of TP is on disply every day. Slick Willie remains a beloved elder statesman, Bill Cosby is likely to die in prison. Cosby left the party line of TP -- he said that black people needed to have personal responsibility. His crimes might be less than Slick, and they are CERTAINLY less than Teddy Kennedys, but they needed to make an example of old Cos!

Trump remains the "Black Swan". Why in the WORLD would he set himself up for what he has, and why would he keep working and fighting the Deep State and the whole massive TP apparatus as hard as he has? It boggles the mind -- he had, and still has "it all", however could it be that he really wants to prevent the light from going completely out in BOistan??

I'm thankful and amazed each day he draws breath. Perhaps God really does want to restore America to his grace?!

Depends On Your Definition of "Spy"

Evcr since Bill Clinton got everyone wrapped around the axel on the definition of "is", the left seems to have no idea of the defintion of much of anything except "hate" and "Trump". "Marriage"? A relationship between? Who knows? We do know it is offensive to even attempt definitions in many cases -- "too authoritarian".

Thus we see the commedy routine of Comey and Clapper attempting to tell us why whatever the Democrat controlled Deep State decides to do is GOOD, and whatever Trump said about it is BAD. As long as you are willing to let a common cocktail (the C&C) act as your brain, it is at least simpler.

Michael Barone has more brain than C&C combined and reaches a conclusion similar (at least in my day) to "putting a video camera in the girls locker room is never a good idea". 

Until 2016, just about everyone agreed that it was a bad thing for government intelligence or law enforcement agencies to spy (er, secretly collect information?) on a political campaign. Especially a campaign of the opposition party. Liberals were especially suspicious of the FBI and the CIA. Nowadays, they say that anyone questioning those agencies' good faith is unpatriotic.

One wonders how long such a concept as "girls and boys" can last in an infinitely gendered world, but I digress -- literally NOTHING is simple when words like "is" and "spy" have no fixed meaning.

Barone does an excellent job of pointing out how this BO spy op is MUCH worse than Watergate. Naturally, even at the time of Watergate, one of the major functions of the FBI and CIA was to prosecute Republicans and exonerate Democrats ... they were just a lot less in the open about it.

They ALWAYS have our "best interests" in mind on these things, and it takes really really small minded, obstinate or simply evil people to say anything against the ruling elite of the Deep State. Since Watergate, the alphabet bureucracies have more and more become pure Democrat vassels (and maybe sometimes kingmakers?)

They keep trying so hard to communicate what we are supposed to think to us. Just before this scene, Luke says "boss, I sure to wish you would stop being so good to me" ... a good analogy to how roughly 50% of the country feels about the Administrative State / Media / Davos Elite ruling class today.

Can they do in Trump? They have all the stops pulled out -- the elections this fall will be one test, but I sure hope that Trump keeps a few of his own security guys with to make it at least a tussle if/when the "Secret Service" (SS ... I wonder why they never seem to use that?) decides there is one really sure way to remove him from office!

The FBI Escalates Its War on the Trump Administration | Power Line:

As I heard the news that Attorney Client Privlege was dead in BOistan, I wondered what sort of headline it would take to start to turn back the clock to when residents of this tribal backwater had any sort of "rights" that didn't involve shedding blood. Military takeover of the FBI building and getting to the bottom of the current political weaponization of the FBI by the Deep State would be a small start, however.

I covered some history on the FBI doing political prosecution back in 2016, I'd love to see them caught dead to rights on the Stevens indictment followed after he had lost the election by "oh, never mind, we don't have a case".

Does that really make any difference though?  As I talked about with "Lawfare" in WI, it seems we are beyond the point of most people caring. The left is HAPPY to see the removal of ALL rights from people who don't agree with them on all points -- Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Association, Right of Due Process, Privacy, etc, etc -- all may be summarily usurped if it can be verified that you have taken actions that might be detrimental to "The Party" (TP-D). I covered what happened in WI here.  I could go on a long and boring list, I'll just include the case of CA deciding that if they want to charge you with the horrible "crime" of "collusion" with a 501c in CA, you are presumed GUILTY, not innocent, and have to prove your innocence to the satisfaction of a CA court!

Imagine the difficulty of a Republican claiming they were "innocent" in a CA court!

In order for there to be even the merest hope of a return to America from BOistan, there would need to be a MASS OUTCRY from all sides on something as egregious as breaking into the president's lawyers office! Even supposed "conservatives" either ignore this because "Trump is tawdry", or "it doesn't matter at this late point". Both of which may well be true, however both show that the level of caring over actual Constitutional rights is very low indeed in this tribal territory.

The FBI breaking into the law office of a lawyer for the president sends a CLEAR message that nobody that fails to be in completel agreement with TP has ANY Constitutional rights! The only people that have any "rights" are people that are in good standing with TP. If they are in good enough standing -- as in the Clinton Crime Family, BO, etc, then they have TOTAL rights. They are above all law.

Much like Janet Lynch and Bill Clinton getting together in 2016 where it was KNOWN that they were meeting, this action is INTENDED to show us that the Deep / Administrative State can do ANYTHING IT WANTS! It is above the law, above the president, above congress, and above the SCOTUS -- it answers to NOBODY!

I think the odds are WAY against it, and even if it came to pass, I think the Republican Party is way too much part of the corrupt DC game, but a major RED wave this fall that said  "we will stand behind drastic measures to return the Deep / Administrative State to the role of EMPLOYEES of "We The People" " might have a tiny chance to make a difference at even this late date.

One thing is very clear -- the Administrative State is absolutely confident that they are completely in charge and able to ANYTHING they desire to attack those that dare stand in their way!
